How to pick out the most suitable helical gear

In order to pick out the most suitable type of helical gear in relation to your requirements, you should complete the following procedure:

• Find the torque (Nm) or power (kW) and output speed (rpm) which is required in relation to what purpose and usage you need the helical gear

• Select an appropriate service factor from diagram 1 that you find in the PDF on this website under Helical gears

• From the same PDF, use the selection chart to find the torque or force that comes closest to your requirements

• Check the unit's thermal capacity, which is listed at the bottom of each gearbox size. If it is placed in a different temperature, please use Table1. Inthis case, you should also take note of the fact that the adapters and the mounting position affect the thermal capacity

• Be aware of the torque loss of the IEC adapter loss of torque, as the table in our PDF does not include this loss. If very small motor power is applicable in your case it will be extremely important to take account of this loss. See Table 2
